Thailand Thai Cuisine Introduces Lunch Buffet Today!

Joe and Nam Lovato, owners of Thailand Thai Cuisine in the Mari-Mac Shopping Center, have announced the introduction of their lunchtime buffet 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The buffet includes curries, stir fries, fried rice, brown rice, jasmine rice, two soups, dessert, salad and fruit, all for $15 per person. The buffet menu items change daily. Justin Webster of the Los Alamos Amateur Radio Club makes contact with an amateur radio operator in Arkansas during the National Amateur Radio Field Day contest Saturday at North Mesa Picnic Grounds. The event continues through noon Sunday and the community is invited to observe and make contact with ham operators throughout North America. The contest involves making contact with as many amateur radio stations as possible and using generator, solar and battery-powered equipment to make radio contacts during the 24-hour emergency preparedness exercise. Paul F. Geisik, 23, of Los Alamos has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following an incident June 19 in which he allegedly brandished a handgun at another driver.

Los Alamos Poice Cpl. Michael Weiss responded to a complaint that a white BMW convertible was being driven recklessly on San Ildefonso Road and that the driver was brandishing a revolver handgun.

Community Invited To Amateur Radio Club Field Day

The community is invited to see a demonstration of amateur radios in action from noon to noon Sunday at the North Mesa Picnic Grounds off North Mesa Road. The Los Alamos Amateur Radio Club will be participating in the National Amateur Radio Field Day 24-hour emergency preparedness exercise. The radio operators will use generator, solar and battery power equipment to make radio contacts. Hines Is Bandelier Employee Of The Quarter

Josh Hines has received the first Bandelier Employee of the Quarter Award. He has been a maintenance worker at Bandelier National Monument since May 2016.
