There is only two weeks left for Active-Duty military personnel to take advantage of free admission to New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs museums and historic sites.
Through Blue Star Museums, New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (NMDCA) museums is offering free admission to active-duty military personnel, including National Guard and Reserve and their families through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2, 2024.
The free admission extends to up to five family members. Qualified members must show a valid military ID. For more information about Blue Star Museums visit www.arts.gov/initiatives/blue-star-museums.
There are eight NMDCA museums and seven NMDCA historic sites. Visit newmexicoculture.org for a listing of museums and sites.
New Mexico has a large active-duty military and National Guard population of more than 43,000 people and NMDCA offers these individuals a chance to explore the history and culture of the state throughout the summer.
The Blue Star program is a way for the Department of Cultural Affairs to thank military families for their service and share with them New Mexico’s cultural treasures.
