BETTY LOU MYERS

Betty Lou Myers passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon graduation from high school, she enrolled in Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education.

In 1950, she married her college sweetheart, Bill Myers. In 1963, Bill accepted a position at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and they moved across the country to Los Alamos, New Mexico.

Betty Lou devoted a majority of her working career to the University of New Mexico campus in Los Alamos. She retired as the Head Registrar.

She was an avid sports fan who spent many hours watching her children and grandchildren participate in various sporting events. In addition, she was a dedicated supporter of the Los Alamos Medical Center and upon retirement worked in the gift shop.

She is survived by four children, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She had a full life with many wonderful memories and will be missed.
