FAYE LOUISE PORTER July 24, 1930 – June 18, 2024

On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, Faye Louise Porter, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 with family at her side.

Born July 24, 1930 in Roswell, NM, Faye was preceded in death by her first husband, William R. “Randy” Cooper Sr. and son Mark Elliot Cooper.

She is survived by daughter, Karen Leigh Hawkins and husband, Ward of Los Alamos, NM, and William R. “Randy” Cooper Jr. and wife, Leslie of Tigard, Oregon.

Faye married Kenneth R. Porter in Albuquerque in 1984. Opportunities took them to San Diego, Walnut Creek, and finally Tri Cities, Wa. where they retired and spent their later years traveling, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.

Faye dearly loved her family including 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was an amazing cook, and pianist, enjoyed gardening, loved fishing and was an avid golfer.

Faye moved to Los Alamos several years ago to be closer to family. Back to where her mother and father worked at the Laboratory and her grandmother taught at the school for the deaf in Santa Fe.

Her traditions and recipes will be carried on by loved ones.

Rest in Peace Faye and know that you are loved and will be missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined.
