FBI News:
The FBI and Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an adult female whose body was found in an irrigation canal in the Paradise area of northern Shiprock in New Mexico.
The body was discovered at approximately 8 a.m. Sunday, July 22.
The woman is believed to have been Native American, approximately 25 to 40 years old. She was about 5’3” to 5’6” tall and weighed approximately 150 to 170 pounds.
She was wearing a yellow T-shirt, blue denim shorts, and Nike running shoes. Her hair was braided.

It is that time of year again for the New Mexico Annual Tax Holiday.
This year it starts at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 3, and goes through Aug. 5 at midnight.
This is a great time to purchase school supplies and clothing without paying tax.
The New Mexico Legislature established a deduction from gross receipts tax for retail sales of tangible personal property in 2005 and has continued it each year the first weekend in August.
This is possible because the retailers can deduct the gross receipts tax during this period and therefore can pass the savings onto you for a weekend of tax-free shopping. Read More
