The winner of this year’s Dog Jog logo contest is Peter Bakasi, a talented Piñon Elementary School sixth grader who produced a sweet and imaginative drawing showing a happy pup getting ready to take part in the Dog Jog.

His drawing will be the official logo for this year’s Dog Jog event, and he will receive a free t-shirt featuring his artwork. The winners are chosen on the basis of artistic merit, creativity and originality.

They also collect plant materials and store them in ‘haystacks’ under rocks to eat during the winter. Pikas are closely related to rabbits and hares. SANTA FE — Santa Fe Community College’s Art on Campus will host the Capital High School Spring Showcase exhibition opening from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 17 in the main hallway entrance–across from the Cashier’s office. The free reception is open to the public. The exhibition closes on Tuesday, May 5.

The exhibition will feature approximately 100 pieces of selected art from about 80 student artists in grades 9 through 12. The artwork will be on display whenever the campus is open.
